Date of manufacture of a Husqvarna/Viking sewing mach?
I have a sewing machine for which I need to know the approx year it was made. I have looked online for this info and found nothing helpful.

What's a good sewing machine for a beginner?
I can't spend more than $100 so I'm thinking of buying a used/refurbished from a reputable dealer locally.
I've heard great things about the quality and durability of Bernina and Husqvarna/Viking. Does anyone have any experience with these or other machines?
I will be using the machine for sewing clothes for myself and my children, also curtains and perhaps doll clothes.
Will not be doing any embroidery or quilting or sewing on very heavy fabrics.
You are very smart. Even a used machine from your dealer comes with a one year guarantee and endless free help. I am a Viking owner since 1985. That was my choice since that was the nearest dealer.
And I still get free help. Also take advantage of free classes.
The machine is only as good as the user and her dealer.
