thread winds behind the hook/bobbin case and machine jams???
I have a viking husqvarna 150. The hook recently broke and I bought another part and re-installed it myself. Now I can't get the machine to work properly. The thread winds behind bobbin case (or is it called a hook?) till it jams. I've taken off the hook a zillion times and put it in again thinking it might be crooked or something. I cleaned out all the lint and loose threads on the entire machine. Help! What am I doing wrong?
Anytime you work around the bobbin yourself, it can be a sticky situation. You may have knocked the timing off between the needle and the bobbin shuttle. In this case, you should take it to a professional to set the timing, etc. for you. It is relatively inexpensive and well worth it in the long run for the life of your machine.

Machine Hook

My car will not crank. Can I hook a on board diagnostic machine to the car to find the problem.?
My car is a 1993 Toyota Camry. I recently got another engine put into my car, I believe that a couple wires on the engine may be hooked up wrong. The engine will not crank, but the engine turns over but will not crank. I would like to know can I hook a on board diagnostic machine to the car to find out what the problem is? Will this machine find the problem so I can let a mechanic fix it.
I doubt the on board diagnostics will be of any help.
It sounds as though, as you mention in your question, that a wire or two may be hooked up wrong - and this could easily cause the computer to set codes that will will lead to unnecessary replacement of parts.
Try and get a wiring diagram for your vehicle and carefully recheck the color coding and connections.
